Our project Ambassadors of Love and Respect got the annual award of the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research.
In the international project Ambassadors of Love and Respect, we focused on involving volunteers in preventive and awareness-raising activities on teen dating violence.
There were 29 volunteers and coordinators participating in this project from five countries: Sakhli – Advice Centre for Women (Georgia), Society Without Violence (Armenia), FONDAZIONE Hallgarten-Franchetti Centro Studi Villa Montesca (Italy), Fundación Indera (Spain) and Hazissa – Prevention of Sexualized Violence (Austria).
But the total number of those who benefited from its outcomes was much higher, especially thanks to the peer educators who helped us to reach over 1500 young people in six countries.
The aim of this project was to create and assess the model of peer educators involvement in the prevention of teen dating violence and into the awareness-raising about this topic. Based on this, our volunteers in the roles of peer educators, so as someone who is closer to the target group, could be involved.
