On 21.3.19, we co-organized the symposium at the American Center in Prague.
Alexandra Wilson McDonald, a Fulbright PhD student, discussed feminist organizing against gender-based violence in the United States and Central Europe. Katie Park, a graduate school intern at proFem, detailed the differences in service delivery for victims/survivors of sexual violence the US and the Czech Republic, and Eva Michálková, a project coordinator from proFem, discussed proFem as an organization and its services and projects focusing on sexual violence.
The guest speaker was Dr. Blanka Nyklová, feminist, professor and researcher at the American CIEE and NKC - gender a věda. She led a group roundtable concerning the intersection of sexual violence and academic mobility in the Czech Republic.
